On April 20, 2023, at the invitation of St. Petersburg State University in Russia, Dean of JLU School of Law, Professor He Zhipeng gave a lecture to the students of St. Petersburg State University School of Law, focusing on the general overview and theoretical development of the Chinese Constitution. During the lecture, the students learned that Constitution of the People’s Republic of China is the fundamental law of the state and has the supreme legal force. Through a comparative study with the relevant Russian legal system, they learned about the theoretical features of the Constitution, the development of the rule of law, and the institutional guarantees of the comprehensive rule of law in China.

The lecture deepened the exchange between JLU School of Law and St. Petersburg State University School of Law, and spread China’s thoughts on the rule of law. Professor He’s interactive teaching at St. Petersburg State University demonstrated the high quality of teaching of Jilin University, which was warmly welcomed and well appreciated by the participating students. Besides, both parties find a new way to communicate with each other and share their own high-quality teaching resources. For JLU School of Law, it also helps to accumulate valuable experience in training foreign-related legal talents.
